Background: Maureen Lloyd-James was born in Buckinghamshire, England.  She has taught in the education systems of both England and Bermuda before moving to Providence, RI in 1983. Since working for Johnson & Wales University, Maureen has worked within the Academic Admisnstration as well as being a valued member of faculty.  During the school year she teaches full-time Undergraduate courses for the Business College at Johnson & Wales University, Florida. She has taught Masters courses at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and has taught for the United States Open University.  She works as an education and computer consultant for various projects with, and outside of, Johnson & Wales University. In the summer time she spends many weeks teaching management programs within the hospitality areana including students on many different ships.

Specialties: Looking for ways to deliver teaching and training in a motivating, meaningful and enjoyable way. Maureen teaches Computer Applications, Electronic Commerce, Database Marketing, Desktop publishing, Web design, and many management programs.

Research Interests: Distance Education, technology strategies for delivering teaching and learning, emerging technologies, Electronic Commerce, Human-computer interaction
