Background:Involved in mainstream and special education (including residential) for over twenty-seven years.  Provided INSET training on behaviour management in schools, colleges and for LEA’s.  Involved in research into PRU’s in the London area, looking at ways in which pupil motivation can be improved and as a consultant to Education Business Partnerships and EBD schools and as a ICT trainer for the government sponsored NOF scheme. Since 1995 worked extensively in the work-related learning field in schools and colleges in central London promoting links between Learning and Skills Council (and former TEC) projects. Work included contracts for four years promoting links between schools and colleges and training providers and employers offering Modern Apprenticeships.   During the past ten years worked closely with Professor Andrew Miller and Anthony Johns, authors of the DfES 2004 publication Work-Related Learning and the Law. 

As part of her consultancy role she has worked extensively with Johnson & Wales University (Miami) within their Professional Training Department with the Marine Hotel Management Association and JWU Training For Management programs delivering Management training to cruise ship staff world wide.

OFSTED Experience:  Inspected most subjects - notably English, Maths & ICT in mainstream primary, special and PRU's.  Aspects inspected:  curriculum, leadership & management, assessment.
