Chapter 1 - Cultural Diversity for the Cruise Industry
This is actually the busiest online chapter, but an important one.
The FIRST thing you are asked to do for this chapter is to introduce yourself to your classmates. You will do this by going to the discussion board and contribute to your first Discussion Forum entry. Please note, you will need to 'register' to get onto the Discussion Forum board by clicking this link. Then verify your email before you can start adding to the Discussion Forum.

The Pre-Study survey is important as it will set the baseline statistics for the class. Please take your time and complete it as best you can. There are 15 questions and it should take about 5 minutes. Here is the link:

The VSM survey@ is an interesting survey which explores similarities and differences in culture over five dimensions. I am interested in how much working in such a multi-cultural setting such as on a cruise line will impact these measures. (As with all the results of these surveys, I will share with you, the participants, any results that I find.) It should take you about 5-7 minutes. Here is the link to the second survey:

The third survey is really interesting as it will help you understand your learning preferences. This will help you understand how to "learn better". We will discuss this during the course. This questionnaire has 44 questions and some interesting information to read, after you have completed the questionnaire. It should take about 10-12 minutes. Here is the link:
